Chris Dacre's MAN UP!, a large-scale, playful, site-specific installation runs at Marketview Arts in downtown York, PA from December 1, 2017 - January 20, 2018.
Dacre, our artist-in-residence for the month of November, draws on his experiences as a US Air Force veteran in his work, making satirical commentary on the complexities of war.
MAN UP! explored American notions of masculinity and patriotism and how that intersects with the military/industrial complex.
Dacre also delivered the 3rd Annual Perspectives on Peace lecture on November 9, 2017 in DeMeester Recital Hall.
